Do I have to get multiple repair quotes?
There is no law requiring you to obtain two or three estimates of damage.
Do I have to be there when my insurance inspects the vehicle for damage?
You may leave your vehicle at BodyWorks by Murray Motor Imports and ask that your insurance company inspect the vehicle here with us, so that we may protect your interests at all times.
Does BodyWorks work with my insurance company?
BodyWorks by Murray Motor Imports works cooperatively with all insurance companies, and BodyWorks is an Insurance Approved Repair Facility.
Should I drive my vehicle after an accident?
Never drive a vehicle that could be unsafe or a vehicle you feel is unsafe. Just because a car may be drivable does not mean its safe. When in doubt, have it towed to the BodyWorks by Murray Motor Imports.
Do I have to deal with the insurance company about price?
BodyWorks by Murray Motor Imports can and will negotiate your claim with the insurance company to take the stress out of the process.
Where do I get a claim number from?
When you report your accident to the insurance company they will issue you a claim number. Write it down and give it to your representative here at BodyWorks. You can then relax and we will take care of everything.
How Long will the repairs take?
Your estimator will present you with an estimated time of completion. Please remember there are many variables that make it extremely difficult to present you with an exact date however, your estimator will keep you updated every step of the way.
What is a Direct Repair Facility
A body shop that has been approved by a particular insurance company to perform repairs for their customers and sends all necessary information through an electronic assignment process.
Will the parts be ordered prior to dropping my vehicle off?
Yes, we always try to pre-order parts to reduce the time your vehicle will be in for repairs.
If my vehicle's frame is damaged, is my vehicle a total loss?
No. A vehicle is considered a total loss when the repairs exceed the value of that vehicle.
Can you match my vehicle's paint color?
The factory finish on your vehicle consists of multiple layers of highly
specialized paint products. BodyWorks has invested in the latest computerized
color matching software and equipment available today that provides the
technology to achieve the best possible paint match in the industry.
Can I get a ride home when I drop my vehicle off for repairs?
Yes, please let your estimator know in advance and we offer shuttle service by appointment.
How will I know my vehicle is complete?
Let your estimator know how you would like to be notified when your vehicle is complete. We can notify you by phone, email, text message or all if you have provided us with the necessary information to do so.
How can I get a rental car?
Ask your estimator to assist you with coordinating your rental requirements.
Is there any warranty on my repairs?
Yes. Lifetime Repair Guarantee on all labor for as long as you are the owner. Manufacturer warranty on parts.
Do I have to pay my deductible?
Yes, this is an agreement you made with your insurance company when you selected your policy.
Who and where do I pay my deductible?
You are bound by your insurance policy to pay your deductible to BodyWorks when you pick up your vehicle.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Approved Checks, Money Orders, MasterCard, VISA and American Express.
What are betterment charges?
Betterment charges are determined by your insurance company and are pro-rated based on actual miles on your vehicle for all parts that have a wear factor such as tires, batteries, etc.
What are appearance allowances?
An example of this may be you have a wheel that is scratched in an accident but it is not bad. Your insurance company may offer you an amount to "live with" the scratch which you can apply towards your deductible.
Can I wash my car after the repairs?
Yes. However it is recommended that you wash it by hand with a mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge for the first 90 days. Always wash your vehicle in the shade. Do not wax or polish the vehicle for 90 days. This will allow the paint process to completely cure. Avoid parking under trees and utility lines. Do not scrape ice or snow off of your new finish. In the event something gets on your new finish and you cannot remove it, please visit us and we will assist you.
Can I trade my vehicle before it is repaired?
Yes, ask your estimator for details. We have a new BMW and new Mercedes-Benz dealership along with a pre-owned dealership available to help you with a new car purchase.
What are LKQ parts?
LKQ parts are original equipment manufacturer parts off another vehicle, usually out of a salvage yard.
What are Aftermarket parts?
Aftermarket parts are parts that look the same but not manufactured by the original vehicle manufacturer.
